On February 13th, 2019 two UCSC Legal Studies Alumni volunteered their time to come speak to over 40 undergraduate students in the Alternatives to Law School Panel. The guest speakers were able to share a bit about their experiences as undergraduate students as well as their experiences post-graduation. The first speaker was Timothy Daszco, a Farmer's Insurance General Special Investigator. The second speaker was Josh Lee, a Senior Customer Success Manager at Glassdoor. Although their careers are not directly related to legal studies, students were able to hear the speaker's stories about the journey of finding a stable career. The students were also able to receive some valuable advice from the speakers regarding how to prepare for interviews and the importance of networking, amongst other topics.
