On May 22, 2017 Erwin Chemerinsky presented a talk about free speech on college campuses. How can colleges and universities balance the need to create an inclusive learning environment for all students with a need to protect freedom of speech?

Erwin Chemerinsky is founding Dean and Distinguished Professor of Law, and Raymond Pryke Professor of First Amendment Law, at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, with a joint appointment in Political Science. He is the author of ten books and more than 200 law review articles. He writes regular columns for the Orange County Register and American Bar Association Jornal as well as op-eds in newspapers across the country.
